Our mission is to
promote good will between the peoples of
the United States and the peoples of the
World through cultural, educational, and
networking opportunities. The
Center for Global Understanding (CGU)
seeks to enhance appreciation for US
culture abroad and to foster knowledge
and understanding of international
issues, national identities, and
cultures.
In the
Beginning...
Originally formed as
the Lubbock International Cultural
Center, Inc., we are now doing business
as the Center for Global Understanding.
However, our deep interest in promoting
international educational opportunities
remains our primary focus.
